Orders & delivery

Where do you deliver?

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only. Available services and the final delivery charge are shown at checkout.

How much is delivery?

Eligible singles-only orders can use Royal Mail 1st Class untracked delivery for £2.49. Standard TCG parcels are £3.99 with Tracked 48 or £4.99 with Tracked 24. Large parcels are £5.99 or £7.99 respectively.

The options depend on the combined weight and contents of your order. Checkout shows the applicable charge. Read our delivery policy.

When will my order be dispatched?

We aim to process orders within one working day and often post on the same day. Weekends, UK bank holidays, major releases and busy periods can affect dispatch.

Royal Mail Tracked 24 aims for next-working-day delivery after acceptance; Tracked 48 generally aims for two to three working days. These are delivery aims, not guaranteed arrival dates.

Will I receive tracking?

Tracked 24 and Tracked 48 deliveries include tracking information when available. Check your dispatch email for the details. The £2.49 Royal Mail 1st Class singles service is untracked.

Can I change my address or get help with a delayed order?

Contact us as soon as possible with your order number and the details. Address changes may not be possible after dispatch. If an order is later than expected, we can investigate with you.

Choosing your products

I’m new to collecting or playing. Where should I start?

Choose a game or a character you enjoy, then decide whether you want to collect cards or learn to play. A preconstructed starter or battle deck gives you a fixed starting deck; random booster packs are for opening and expanding a collection.

Explore our Start here picks, or ask us for help choosing for your budget.

What is the difference between singles and sealed products?

A single is an individual card, so you can choose the card, finish and listed condition. Sealed products include unopened booster packs, boxes, tins, collections and decks. Check each listing for the exact contents and quantity.

What are ETBs, Booster Bundles and booster boxes?

A Pokémon Elite Trainer Box (ETB) combines booster packs with accessories and, where specified, a promo card. A Booster Bundle focuses on booster packs. A booster box contains multiple packs, with the number depending on the game and product.

Contents vary between releases. Our Pokémon sealed product guide explains the formats, and each listing gives the contents for that item. You’ll also find product guides on our other games’ sealed collections.

Will a booster pack contain the card shown on the artwork?

Booster contents are random. Pack or box artwork does not guarantee that character, a particular rare card or a specific artwork variant inside. Any guaranteed contents are stated in the product description. Buy the individual single if you want a specific card.

What does assorted artwork mean?

If a listing says artwork or designs are assorted, you receive the quantity stated in the listing in one of the available designs. A picture showing several designs does not mean you receive them all. A particular design is only guaranteed if the listing or selected variant explicitly says so.

Card condition & protection

What do NM, LP, MP and HP mean?

These describe the physical condition of an ungraded single, not its rarity.

  • Near Mint (NM): very little visible wear; small marks or printing imperfections may still be present.
  • Lightly Played (LP): minor visible wear such as edge whitening or light surface marks.
  • Moderately Played (MP): more noticeable wear across edges, corners or surfaces.
  • Heavily Played (HP): substantial wear.
  • Damaged: significant defects such as creases, tears or water damage.

Check the condition selected on the listing and its Card condition explained panel. Near Mint does not mean perfect and is not a guarantee of a particular grading score.

Is the card pictured the exact copy I will receive?

Unless a listing explicitly says it shows the exact card, treat its image as a reference for the card and artwork. Centring, surface marks and other small imperfections can vary between copies. The listed condition still applies.

How do I request exact-card photos?

Open the single’s product page, expand Request photos of this card, enter your email and add any details you want us to check, such as corners, back or surface. We’ll reply by email about that card.

If the photos will affect your choice, wait for our reply before ordering. A request does not reserve the card and does not sign you up for marketing.

Is reverse holo or foil a condition?

No. Holo, reverse holo, foil and non-foil describe the card’s finish. Condition describes its physical wear. Check both the finish and condition before ordering, even if two listings use similar artwork.

Which sleeves and protectors do I need?

Choose sleeves to fit your card size. Pokémon, Magic, Lorcana and One Piece generally use standard-size cards; Yu-Gi-Oh! uses smaller Japanese-size cards. Check the accessory’s stated compatibility.

Soft sleeves protect surfaces, playing sleeves are designed for shuffling, and a toploader provides a more rigid outer holder for a sleeved card. A toploader is not a playing sleeve. Use our sleeves and protectors guide before choosing.

Can I find all cards featuring my favourite Pokémon?

Use Shop by Pokémon on our Pokémon singles collections. In a set collection it shows that Pokémon within the current set. Use the all-sets link to look across the Pokémon singles range. Your other collection filters can narrow the results further.

Releases & availability

What is the difference between Coming soon and Sold out?

Coming soon marks products we have specifically identified as an upcoming release or launch. Sold out means the item is unavailable to buy now; it does not promise a restock. Check the product page for current availability.

Does a release calendar entry mean I can preorder?

No. A calendar date is separate from Pokara’s stock and ordering availability. Only place a preorder where the product listing explicitly offers one and explains its details. Publisher dates and supplier allocations can change.

View the release calendar for upcoming dates and any confirmed Pokara launch times.

When are preorders dispatched?

Where a product is explicitly offered for preorder, it is normally dispatched once stock has arrived and the official release date permits shipment. Read the listing for any product-specific details. We will communicate significant delays where appropriate.

Returns & getting help

How do I arrange a return or cancellation?

Contact us with your order number and the items involved so we can provide the appropriate return instructions. For a cancellation, clearly tell us you wish to cancel. Read our Returns & Refunds Policy for the time limits, postage details and how sealed products are handled.

Please keep products and packaging in the condition received while deciding. Opening packs or removing seals can substantially reduce their value. This FAQ does not replace the policy or affect your statutory rights.

What if my item arrives damaged, incorrect or different from its description?

Contact us with your order number and a description of the issue. Photos of the item and packaging, where available, help us investigate, but are not a condition of your statutory rights. We’ll work with you to resolve it.

How can I ask a question before ordering?

Use our contact page for product advice or order help. Include the product link, game and what you need help with. We aim to respond within one to two working days. For exact-card photos, use the request form on that card’s listing so the card details are included.
